some auction art

It seems like the question on everybody's lips is "How did the auction go?"
Well, it went pretty well.

New Animations Are Here!

in
Red Hat Lady

Seven (7) new animations from the November 2007 Intro To Animation class have been posted! Please check them out here.

Please take the time to leave some comments for our animators. They put in a lot of time on these pieces, and I think they turned out great!

Fine Art: Chuck Close

Orly

This class took a look at the art of Chuck Close, and used a similar grid technique to paint large, lifelike portraits. The great thing about using a grid, is that it allows people without any drawing abilities to paint something that looks real and impressive.

Linocuts

Giraffe

The linocut class was really cool. Even though I didn't have a lot of time to make anything, I managed to whip out a cool little pear linocut, which I used for the merit button. Orly made a cool Christmas tree linocut, and then printed herself a really great set of Christmas cards. Laura made a giraffe. And Maya made a super-complicated two-piece bug on a leaf.

Animation 102

Mom Animating

That's right! We had an animation class, and it was awesome. The turnout was a little lower than I expected, but that just meant that there was more animation time for those who attended. So yippee!

Collage

We had just had our first class of the fall season, and it was a blast. I hadn't really done much collage before, so despite that mine turned out really ugly, I was pretty pleased. And I left inspired to make a few more. Maybe I'll try again this weekend.
